Does this invitation look girly? Update: Link to invite is up (sorry)

I know I'm nuts, I've been thinking about my son's 2nd birthday party which is in late October.

I saw this invitation and I really like it but DH thinks it's a bit girly because of the purple background. I'm doing a halloween birthday party for my son and I really like the dressed up pumpkins on the invite.

What do you think of it, too girly looking for a boys birthday invite?

I dunno... I personally don't think it's girly... then again, I've always been a tad miffed by the cultural pressure to make everything for a boy blue.... I have no idea what being a boy has to do with the color blue in particular, or trucks, boats and trains (as if every man drives a large piece of equipment )

A pumpkin invitation is totally gender neutral IMO....

It's a little girly. I did a slew of Halloween ones for Joseph's birthday party this year.

The one we used was very creepy but I have a bunch of cute ones. If you want to send me your email, I can send you them.

Purple is one of the colors for halloween. I would do an orange background with black....

Purple is historically a very royal/masculine color. Much more than blue, actually.

I think it's fine for a 2 year old. You want it to look cute. When he's 5, then he can decide how "butch" the invites are....

I definitely didn't see girly when I looked at it. The purple is a halloween color. I like it!
