Does this sound crazy? Portrait/Photo related DH thinks so
ok here's what i want to do, my dh thinks i am nuts but whatever, lol:
we have been olanning for months to go one day during the week when DH is off to the shooting starts portrait studio at buy buy baby to get some photos of dd. she is 9 mos old now, and for various reasons, ea time we plan on going, something comes up and we have to keep putting it off. i dont want to go on the weekend when its packed. ok, we were finally hoping to get there one of the next few weeks, but then i came on LIF this week, and saw all of everyones amazing photos done by summer lyn, and i wanted to book a session with her instead. unfortunately she is booked up til july, but dd will be 1 yr old by then and dh thinks i am nuts that i would want to wait to get the photos done that i have been driving him crazy about taking already!
so i decided that i will take the photos at bbb now like we olanned, and then in july for the 1 yr old pics, i want to do a session with summer, and maybe do more informal casual and fun shots of dd at a park or something instead of in our home. dh is going along but says i am insane! i contacted summer and hope to get a date near dd's 1st b-day. i know its crazy, but i love her work!

I think there is nothing crazy about what you want to do and I would 100% do both!!
You can never have too many pictures of your little one!!!

in my opinion the photos you have of your children growing up is priceless. Time goes so fast, they grow, and change so quickly. some of the best money i have ever spent have been on things that make lasting memories.

I think you picked the wrong people to point out that it's crazy to get photos taken of your child.
You are not alone. We completely understand the craziness. Welcome to our asylum.

me too! btw, we went to BBB today all set to take pics, well, as it turns out we didnt take them. there was no one there to help us, there were a girl and her mom looking at i imagine their pics on a computer, but no staff. while waiting, we helped ourselves to the package price list, and it really didnt offer very much. i couldnt believe it, but DH said u know if u really want to have a session with summer in july, maybe we should wait and just do that, its only 2 mos away. i was like, yippee!!! ok lets just leave and take the lil dress that we picked up and take some shots of her this weekend for now and get some beautiful shots in july. so we left and are waiting for you to meet dd and do your magic!!!

Book the person in July - if you can cancell - if you wait until your DH sees things your way, she'll be booked until Christmas.
Tell him its mother's day - just to give you this one.

Definitely NOT crazy! we just had a session with Summer 2 weeks ago and it was the GREATEST!!!! You will treasure the pictures forever and she will only be 1 once!
