Does this sound more like Coxsackie or a reaction to the Chicken pox Vaccine?
I posted yesterday that DS had 2 small red bumps (one on his forehead and one on his wrist). He had the chicken pox vaccine about 10 days ago.
Well, he woke up this afternoon with 4 more. One on his back, one on his thigh, one on his chest, and one on the back of his hand. He doesnt have a fever but he has a runny nose and he's not sleeping well. He's pretty irritable too. He's eating and drinking fine though.
I'm hoping this is just a reaction to the vaccine but I'm terrified its Coxsackie. He hasnt come in contact with any other kids lately.
STBX is taking him to the Ped tomorrow morning, but in the meantime I'm so worried. What do you think? Anything I can do to make him more comfortable til tomorrow?

Found this:
What problems can occur after chickenpox vaccination?
* Soreness, redness, or swelling where the shot was given is the most common side effect, occurring in about 20% of recipients. * About 1%-4% of vaccine recipients develop a very mild rash or several small bumps following chickenpox vaccination. [NOTE: In very rare instances, it may be possible for someone who gets a rash from the chickenpox vaccine to transmit vaccine virus chickenpox to another person. Persons developing a rash after vaccination should take extra precautions to avoid contact with anyone whose immune system is not working properly. * The vaccine may cause a mild fever 2 weeks after vaccination.
