Does this $$$ sound right for a spring yard clean up?

We had someone come today to give us an estimate. For a spring clean up including power thatching and fertilizing the lawn and cleaning up the old leaves and cleaning our flower beds it was $205. This DOES NOT include trimming our shrubs and bushes. He said we are not supposed to do any pruning until June or July. This is the 1st time I have gotten anyone in to do lawn service and haven't a clue. Does that sound like a good price?

I suggest a second and third estimate. It doesn't sound THAT crazy but still.....you might be able to do a little better.

Ours was $180 last year. I think it's the same this year, although I haven't called for an appt. yet. We're on 101x126.

we are paying $300 - but we are on a half acre and since we purchased in Dec (the house was empty), nothing has been picked up, and we have at least 30 trees on our property.

and a lot of our grass is dead bc of the leaves, and that includes seed

It depends on the size of your yard. That doesn't sound like a lot for an average yard, $175-$250 or more for larger. Get a couple of estimates if you’re not comfortable.

We are paing $160 this year and I am having my landscaper do it - BP landscaping in Levittown.

They do everything from thatching to fertilizer. My next door neighbor said they do an amazing job

Oh

I used marcellos last year and I was very unhappy with what they did. I dont think they did half of what they told me they were going to do.

I went with BP because he is my landscaper and I know he does good work...Also all of my neighbors have used him for years for cleanups and regular landscaping and they have always been happy with his work

I just had Marcellos in for a quote and they wanted $240 Chat Icon Chat Icon

My inlaws used them last year, based on Megan's referral on here and they only charge them $175.

DH says he is going to do it himself.
