Does your 4 yr old go to preschool - 1/2 day or full day or mix of both?
And do you like it? DS's school offers a 1/2 day program or a full day program 3 times per week 1/2 day the other days. Seems like everyone does it but, I am hesitant. Just curious what the norm is.

Next year, DD will go 4 days a week and she also has the choice of 1/2 or full. I will prob. Do a full day for 3 days and 1/2 for the last one.

DS goes half days since our district has half day K still, I didn't see the point of getting him used to longer days to make them shorter again.

DS will be starting a 3 year old program in September which is 2 days a week, 3 hours.
When he is 4 he will be going 3 days a week, 6 hours.

3 days, 3 hours.
Our kindergarden is half day, so no sense to send him full time at 4 yrs old.

DD is 4 and goes to preK. It is more academic than regular nursery: smart boards, computers, etc
She goes daily for 2 hr 4 min

DD does universal pre-k through my district which is every day for 1/2 a day.

dd will go 5 full days since I'll be working f/t. The thing is, I'm not going back to work until Dec. but I needed to get her into the 5 full days for when I do go back. I'm going to be very guilty when she's at school full time and I'm home  but there's no other way around it esp. since I want her to go to this school.

Around me the programs are 3 hours either 4 or 5 days.

Next school year (when my DD is 4), she'll be going M-F, 9-2 (Friday ends at 11:45).
This year (3 y/o) she went M-Th, 9-1.

Full day, 4 or 5 days a week. It's a long day, but she LOVES it. Though the actual "preschool" is 75% of the day, and then there's before-care and after-care hours that are considered "daycare" hours.

DD is in the 4-year program now and does two 1/2 days (Monday and Friday) and 3 extended days (8:45-1:45). They just changed the program, and next year it's going full day option for the 4-year old program (5 days, 8:15-2:15). I wish I had that option this year!

My DD went 2 full days as a 3 year old, and as a 4 year old, she is going to UPK, so its 5 days a week for 2.5 hours...not my ideal, but I am going to do it if she gets in.

my son will be 4 in June, he has gone half day 5 days a week all this year and will for the summer and next yr as well.
ETA- some days I LOVE IT and need it
but for the most part not really actually...I feel like he has his entire life to go to school and he does need social interaction , but not this much, BUT he has a speech delay, fine motor delay and anxiety issues, and school had completly changed him for the better so I maintain this schedule for his wellbeing.
