does your baby have a walker?

my mom wants to buy my son one and i never put it on registry bc i heard they are dangerous...but not exactly sure what those dangers are if he would be using it on bottom level of house (basement)

if you DO own one...which do you reccomend?

We have the same one. DS #1 LOVED it! He used it from 5 months until 10 months when he started walking on his own.
We live in a ranch so ther was no danger of him falling down stairs.

I am sure DS #2 will be using this in another month or so.

I didn't have one because we had no room, but I would have used one...

We have the same one posted on the link (actually we have 2). My boys LOVED them. We started putting them in the walkers around 6mo.

I think it's the perfect compromise - a walker attached to a stationary table.

DS had one and I agree with you, unless you are letting them play at the top of the staircase in it.....I dont see how they are dangerous. Anyway, DS had one and he LOVED it!

We didn't have one at our house b/c of the way our house is set up... but my IL's had one at their house and she loved it. She mastered that thing and always wanted to be in it.

Yes. My DD LOVED hers. She had the one that played music and a little drawer you could attach your ipod into and we had a playlist for her. She strolled around the apartment and once we moved into a house she was able to get around everywhere. She is a great walker now!

I def. recommend getting a walker. It's totally safe if you got alot of flat space for your baby to roam. It's a lifesaver since DS didn't like the stationary jumperoo.

Get it! We got the Chicco DJ walker and DS (and his cousin who also used it) absolutely loved it. It's really nicely made, folds well flat and looks great!

Not my child, but see how she loves it. :D

DS has one and loved it. He was able to move around on his own and explore. We made sure the door to the basement was locked and that the gate was up near the fireplace (its a wood burning with bricks surronding it).

Now that he is walking, we use it outside on the cement.

He just learned to walk so there is still some unbalance. The walker keeps him safe from cracking his head on the concreate and keeps Mommy from having a heart attack.

No. Our ped told us that they weren't recommended, and my house isn't that big. She'd just crash into walls.
