Does your company fly people in for interviews?
I applied for a job, went for numerous interviews in NYC and now was told they want me to fly out to their company headquarters in Seattle for another interview. I've never been in this position before and it makes me wonder -- is this a high paying job b/c they're willing to take on this expense? Is this something that a lot of companies do? What has your experience been?

Yes, for exempt level positions we do this as common practice. I work for a large Fortune200 Co. Cost is a consideration in hiring, but depending on the skill set we will fly people in and offer relo assistance.

I was flown for interviews by consulting companies and buying positions in large retailers when I was in college. Positions were all entry-level. I wouldn't necessarily assume that the position is high-paying, but the company is probably in good financial shape if they are willing to add that expense.

I do a lot of recruitment for anything from Call Centres to Warehouse Operatives and CEO's and the majority of them will pay your travel expenses if you so desire, within reason. So thats gas,train, bus etc...
But not air travel unfortunately!!!
