Does your DH/SO sleep in on weekends?

Mine does and sometimes it annoys me. I know he works all week but sometimes he sleeps so late it is ridiculous. The weekends are the only times we can go out and do things together because of both or our work schedules. I like to enjoy the day since Monday comes before you know it!
I hope he realizes that sleeping in is over once we have kids!

he used to sleep a lot later - till 12-1 pm, it was so annoying! Now he gets up around 10-10:30, so thats not too bad.

Re: Does your DH/SO sleep in on weekends?

yeah... but usually not too late, until maybe 10 or so.

What's more annoying is how from September-January we can't do anything on Sunday's.

Not really...We try sometimes, but we both work on Saturdays, and Sundays we like to be out on the boat by 11 or 12.

During the winter, he HAS to be at the sports bar to watch football by 11 or 12 as well.Chat Icon

For him, yes -- he gets up around 7.30. I'd prefer something closer to 8.30 or 9.00.

I find it very frustrating! When we first got married it was hard for me to get used to this, and by the time he'd wake up I was in a pissy mood. I don't get up too early, but usually like to get out of bed by 9:00-9:30. I would get mad because then I couldn't do the things around the house I wanted to because it would wake him up. Now, if he's not up by 10-10:30 the latest, I clean and vaccum regardless, I'm not wasting my day because he wants to sleep.

He usually sleeps in. I usually need to get up by 7am since the last time Joseph fed Maddie breakfast it was whipped cream & maple syrup on crackers.Chat Icon

I get frustrated too because I try and be productive and clean but have to wait to vacuum. Oh yeah and forget it, come football season Chat Icon
A couple of times I have tried going to the beach by myself really early but I got bored. Maybe I'll try a yoga class or something....

Re: Does your DH/SO sleep in on weekends?

nope. I wish he would. He works Saturday & we are awake with the dogs by 7 am on Sunday (So I guess that is sleeping in a little). I tell him to nap when I go for my weekly mani/pedi, but he usually doesn't

Same here - the dogs have us up early on weekends (they are used to getting up & out before 6AM during the week).

Re: Does your DH/SO sleep in on weekends?

Yes, but he normally wakes up at 5:30, so anything from 8 and on is considered sleeping in.

Re: Does your DH/SO sleep in on weekends?

we both work 6-7 days a week mostly so if he wants to sleep, it's fine with me. My internal clock gets me up early, even on the weekends I'm up before 8. Weekdays up at 5:30.

Re: Does your DH/SO sleep in on weekends?

Mine does, which used to annoy me alot b/c I like to be active on the weekends, since as someone else said - Monday comes too fast. I get less annoyed now b/c I realized I can do stuff on my own unti he wakes up and then I wake him up by 9/9:30 - depending on when he went to bed. He doesn't get into high gear though until around 12 which is frustrating, so sometimes I leave and run errands until he's ready.

Re: Does your DH/SO sleep in on weekends?

Unless we are going somewhere together, I let him sleep till 11. If he's not up by then, I go in and tell him it's time to get up and play with me Chat Icon
He says I am like a puppy. If he moves, I think he is awake and start panting around the room for him to get up Chat Icon
