Does your dog wear a sweater in the winter?

We didn't have a sweater for Charlie last year because the two that I bought were definately not the right size...

Tonight I was playing around with some yarn and I managed to crochet her one that fits perfectly! Tomorrow when she isn't so busy snoozing I will try and get a picture of her in it.

I do know that last year, with her long fur, every time she went out to play in the snow she had huge snow balls matted into her fur, and then she'd bring them back inside with her and they'd thaw all over the house and make huge puddles!

I am thinking that a sweater might help to prevent this since I can take it off as soon as she gets in the house --- and it also might keep her warm when she plays outside...

So ... tell me .... Does your dog wear a sweater outside in the winter?

For walks? Just for long-playtimes in the snow?

Do you feel like it is necessary or not necessary at all?

I don't want to over-heat her either!

My baby girl is a chihuahua so she alwasy wears a sweater, coat , pjs, tshirt lol anything we buy her....We need her to stay warm in the cold months

<--when it gets colder we throw a sweater or coat on our terrier mix because her coat is more like hair and alot thinner & she'll shiver..our Cavalier has thick fur so he is warm..when it's super cold or he'll be out playing he'll get a coat.

We don't put anything on Rocky but he is a pretty big dog and has a short coat so we don't have the snow matting issue.
