Dog not eating

Dottie didn't eat her food last night or this morning. She made outside like normal. She hasn't been acting abnormal at all. She did eat a treat this AM.
Could it be that she's just not in the mood for her food?
Should I be concerned?

Re: Dog not eating

sometimes dogs do go through a not-eating phase. I'd check to make sure she is not eating anything else (like her poo), and watch her behaviour. If nothing changes you could try to as some "doggie gravy" to the food, or maybe mix in a new food with her existing.Chat Icon

I agree -- try giving canned food. See if your dog is interested in that -- or some rice and chicken. If not, then I might call the vet.

Misty has also been known to do this...usually if she's not getting her regular walk/run at the park.

Re: Dog not eating

She ate last night. She was fussy this morning, but took her out for a long walk, so maybe that will help.
I think it's the weather.
