Dog that gets into things when home alone?

My dog is normally in her oversized kennel when I leave the house, but with the warm weather I want to start leaving her in the kitchen so she can lay on the tile when she wants. BUT she gets into stuff when she has that freedom. She is gated in just the kitchen, and we walk her to burn off energy before we leave. She is also left with toys.

By get into things, I mean jump on the counter and knock everything on the floor. Same for kitchen table. She has also gotten into the cabinet.

She doesn't do this when we are home, so how do we correct?... suggestions?

We keep our dog in an ex-pen in the kitchen. He cannot be trusted alone unfortunately. He too did things he never does we are home so there is no way to correct him. You could set up cameras and work with him that way but it's hard to find the time to wait for them to get into something and correct it by making a loud sound.
