Doing DC's laundry
Do you ever mix yours with theirs? I sorted Marrons stuff yesterday and there isn't enough for a full dark load or a full white load. I'm tempted to put some of my stuff in there, but something just seems off to me. Not really sure why.
I usually don't even sort her stuff. I just put it all in together, but this time, there was some stuff that really shouldn't have been washed with jeans and fleece jammies. Also, it's been a while so there was more than 1 load.
What do you do?

Re: Doing DC's laundry
I don't mix, but mainly b/c Andy has very sensitive skin so I have to use detergent free of scents & dyes for him and I have regular detergent for our stuff that I got on sale. Once we're out of that everything will be in the free detergent so I'll start mixing then.

Re: Doing DC's laundry
No because I like that it is already sorted by person and I only have to go to his room to put it away. When DD comes I plan on doing her wash seperatly too.

Re: Doing DC's laundry
I moved the whole family to Tide Free and Clear and mix laundry if she doesn't have a full load of her own stuff.

Re: Doing DC's laundry
I've never mixed it- and I don't think I ever really thought about it. If I don't have enough, I just wait until DD's laundry builds up a little bit.

Re: Doing DC's laundry
We mix from time to time. I refuse to do a small load for DD or for us, so I always do large loads.
When i do hers alone we are using up the rest of our dreft, when i mix she uses the same as we use-TIde.

Re: Doing DC's laundry
I mix my tops with his stuff, that's it. I sort by person. I wash everyones undies together though. I once saw a thing on the news and it said how you could spread bacteria if you wash underware with regular clothes. ICK! Also, I always wash towels and sheets sep. too.

Re: Doing DC's laundry
Once I realized all of the caregivers clothes he comes into contact with at daycare I realized he didn't need any special detergent, so yes I wash them together.

Me too. I've been washing with All free&clear because of DH's sensitive skin for years so it's not like I wash it separately for the detergent.
