Donate old bmaid/prom dresses!
Hey ladies -
The charity org myself and a few other ladies on here volunteer with (www.wgirls.org) is hosting a prom dress drive for underpriviledged girls who cannot afford to go to prom. We are providing dresses, makeup and jewelry but we need your help!
Do you have any old formal dresses (can be old prom or bmaid) that you'd like to donate?
Dresses can be dropped off Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 5:30pm at the Westfield South Shore Mall in Bayshore at the management office (located in the IHOP hallway) though Friday, April 1st.
There will be a drive on Saturday, April 2nd from 12pm - 6pm also at the South Shore Mall in Bay shore in the area in front of Lord and Taylor (we will have a table set up).

I can't make it there at all, I don't get out of work until 5. Is there anywhere else they take donations?

yes absolutely! if you can't make it that Saturday, we can arrange for you to drop off later. Can you FM me your email and I can follow up?

I put the Saturday date in my phone, I have three dresses that I've been meaning to donate. DH will be happy not to see them hanging in the garage anymore!

also just FYI - they will be professionally dry cleaned, so you can totally bring them stuffed into a bag, which is what I did when I dropped mine off!

Yes we have drop offs in Nassau as well (also NYC, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island and NJ!!)! Where in Nassau are you near?

Thanks everyone for interest!
Anyone in Nassau--would you be able to drop off at Verdis of Westbury this Sunday? We will be at the NW luncheon and will be able to bring dresses back into the city to the drop-off locations near us!

its big i wore it in a wedding a few months after having Ava.

Great idea! I have an unwore unaltered bm dress from the girl I booted out of my wedding. Would love to donate the bad vibes and turn it into something good
