Don't even know what to say

Well as you know My betas have always been low but rising/doubling then last Friday they took a dip and was told to expect a m/c.

I have been so sad, scared etc.. I thank you for your support and advice. I was already decided on the d and c for the end of this week if nothing happened naturally.

I went to my RE yesterday morning to see what was happening with Beta. I also had a sono and it "seemed normal" My betas are up and so is my progesterone???? it was so strange. I called my reg OB I needed another opinion and some answers.

last night I went to my reg ob she looked at all my numbers and did another sono. She feels my sono looks good and appropriate for 6weeks 3days. She isn't comfortable with my numbers but my latest is ok too. She thinks the dip may be a fluke?

I am testing again tomorrow and then we will see. This has been a roller coaster. If it's going to be m/c I just don't want to be strung along and of course I am praying for a miracle.

Has anyone's betas fell and then rose?

Rebecca

Re: Don't even know what to say

I'm not a doctor obviously, but I've read alot about beta's, and from what I've read they really don't mean as much as we're told they do. They detect the HCG, and I know alot of OBs won't even test more than once. Everyones numbers can be so significantly different and we don't know the reason why.

I think a sono means alot more, and I pray that all is well Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

My doctor doesn't' seem to beleive in checking betas for that purpose. He said A sono tells so much more because everyone is different! I hope that it's positive and that it was a fluk! I am sorry you are going through such a roller coaster ride!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon hope you get some good news soon!

I am so sorry you are going through thisChat Icon

Unfortunately my story is not a good one - I will tell you anyway in hopes that yours will be different.

My 3rd miscarriage my numbers were not rising properly - Dr. thiought is was a blighted ovum- I waited to miscarry but nothing happened so after 2 weeks I went back and we saw a strong heartbeat. a week later I lost the pregnancy

my 4th miscarriage my #'s were really low to start after 3 betas they started to drop i thought I had miscarried went back a couple days later and they went back up again- continued to double for anothe couple of betas and then rose slowly- #'s weres o low that nothing could be seen on a sono. had to get methotrexate shot for fear of it being ectopic.

i am so sorry -- I pray with all my heart that everything turns out to be ok for you- I wiouldn't want anyone to go through what i went through.

The fact they say it all looks good is a very positive sign and I would go with that insead of worrying about the betasChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
