Dont POAS Club!
Ok ladies so I found this on a site about Deanna's plan...
Take a home pregnancy test 15 or 16 days after your OPK was positive if your period has not begun. Do not buy internet pregnancy tests or tests that claim to work before your period is expected. They are not well manufactured and are not reliable. They will only cause you more anxiety than you already feel in wanting to know. Please resist the urge to do a blood test at your doctor's office just to find out sooner unless you have a medical reason to know early. Fertilized eggs that do not grow are actually a terrible but normal occurrence as much as 75% of the time, and seeing a very low put positive blood test in the first 14 days can place you on a terrible emotional roller coaster. By the time a home pregnancy test is positive, your baby has safely implanted and your odds of miscarriage are down to a normal 10%.
My doctor warned me about testing early also, and I really want to try NOT to test early. Last time I tested at CD 26 (which was my shortest cycle) but my longest is 36 days! And that is a big difference for a new little baby. So let's make a pact to try to refrain from POAS early! We can do it together! I promised my DH I wouldn't either so I'm going to do my best this month. And if we fail oh well..but then we have to share on this thread
So I declare that I will TRY not to POAS early!

I am joining your club!!!!! With my ordeal - i had known that i was pregnant nearly a full week before my period was even due. Yes that was awesome to find out so early! But after everything, I can't help but feel that i would have rather not even known all that extra time. It just made it harder 
So yesss - I am with you. I will TRY not to test until AF is actually due. Ugh, that's gonna be hard (being the impatient person that I am) and Dh is even worse. lol. But I will try. I think it's the smart thing to do.
I'm not TTC again until November anyway, but I will notebook this thread until then

I actually have never tested early but I will join this as well
Since this is my first cycle since the d&c I dont know when/if I O'd or when to even expect AF. 
Im thinking of I dont get AF by 10/5 then I will test. DH's b-day is 10/9 so maybe Ill hold out until then.

I've never POAS (with my IUIs or IVFs). Some friends don't know how I did it, but if it's a BFN, I'd rather hear it only once from the Dr. than twice (from the stick and Dr.)

Hmm...well one thing I can say is...right now I'm using OPKs (todays first day) and I used 2 - $1 store ones today...and not my CBE tests b/c they're so expensive. So, as long as I have expensive POAS around I won't use them until AF is due...its a recession ya know I'm with ya, count me in. Now...we have to be honest if we fail to stick to this & be each others support (foreshadowing  )

Honesty is best! lol I think we are on exactly the same time frame! I am on CD 9 so hopefully we both hold out and both get good news!

I'm in! I don't like to POAS early anyway... when it's negative that is so disappointing to me that I get depressed until AF shows. So yeah, no POASing early for me.

well I am now COMPLETELY out of HPTs so in a couple cycles I'll purchase some more. I'll make sure that they're the expensive digitals - that'll keep me from becoming test happy, I think.

Stay away Kristen! Aren't you & I on the same cycle? I haven't even begun to think about POAS yet, I just had EWCM yesterday & got + OPK 3 days ago...

Ok I'm in! However, I'm CRAZY with POAS early, so I'm going to try my best lol. But honestly the last 2 months of getting BFN after BFN, I'm like sick to my stomach over it, and I'm trying not to test till I'm late. Hopefully this thread will keep me in check, so I don't feel ashamed to post that I did lol.

I'm with you...I have 0 clue! I guess we just have to go with it...my plan is to keep myself busy. I am going to vermont w/ friends the weekend before AF is due...i'm not bringing any tests...it will occupy me for a little! lol
