Double stroller advice
I have been researching double strollers b/c come March I will need one. Do side by side strollers make it possible to put an infant car seat in it? I have only seen the one in back of the other hold the infant seat. I am sure both types have pros and cons. I just would appreciate some opinions from the Moms who have either. What do you like or don't like about your double stroller? Maybe this will help: the babies will be less than a year apart.
TIA Carolyn

Re: Double stroller advice
I have the Duo Glider and a Mountain Buggy. I used the Duo Glider w/ infant seats and haven't used it since. I think it would probably be a good option for 2 kids of different ages, but for us, I didn't like the fact that the front seat doesn't recline fully. I still plan on using it on vacations or the like when my MB is too cumbersome to take along...
...which brings me to my next point. I do love my MB (I have the Urban Double). I purchased it b/c I loved how it fit through standard doorways (it's 28.5 inches wide which is one of the narrowest out there) and the versatility that it has. In the future, I can buy a carseat attachement for it, a kiddy board to accommodate up to 3 kids. It also has a great accessory line. On the downside, it's heavy and will take up much of your trunk, depending on what type of car/suv you have.

Re: Double stroller advice
I have the duoglider and like that it is pretty sturdy on the roads, because I walk them a lot, and it is so easy to manuver. I hate that it is so heavy. I am still comtemplating on whether to get a side by side, but I cant bear to spend $300 on the one I want. You have to just try testing them out in the stores and see what you like. Every stroller will have its pros and cons

Re: Double stroller advice
the combi seems easy to manage and you can put an infant carrier in it.

Re: Double stroller advice
Peg Perego side by side is light and easy to manage..if you will be using for heavy rocky roads i would choose something with bigger wheels.

Re: Double stroller advice
I'm leaning toward the Mountain buggy. I originally wanted a stroller that had one seat in front of the other. I tried to use it today in BRU and had a real hard time gauging distances from the front of the stroller. Since I'm only 5'2", I found it difficult to see over the first seat.
