Double Stroller Question???
In Feb we are expecting baby #2. Our son will be turning 2 years old in Feb as well. So, I will need a double stroller.
I went online and going into this blind and found the Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem Stroller. It looks really cool but would it work for a two year old and new born. I'm more concerned with my two year fitting in the stroller. He likes to loung out still on walks so he needs comfort.
Does anyone have this stroller or suggestions on any other double strollers for children of different ages?
TIA

Re: Double Stroller Question???
I have the Maclaren Twin and I love it. I was going to get the Aria, but I'm happy that I didn't. I have a gf of mine with kids the same age and her older child looks so squished in his seat the poor thing.

Re: Double Stroller Question???
That stroller is very heavy without the children. I think BBB in Huntington has it. I had the double Mountain Buggy and sold it and now I have the Graco Double Quattro Tour and I don't like that one either. I am not crazy about the tandum idea but it does help when DS throws a tantrum and he can't get to DD (my kids are 15 months apart). DD sits in the back but she can't see to much for some reason and she is a nosey little girl. I really want the Zooper Tango. It is a side by side that isn't heavy for a double (I think 21lbs.) and it can accomidate an infant carrier. That was my big thing but I have a peg perego and the stroller is a graco and it is so annoying to have to take her in and out of it especially now since it is getting cold.
My best advice to you is think about your daily routine. When you go shopping do you go to the mall a lot or stores that have carts? Is your older one a stroller napper? Does your older one even like to sit in the stroller? If you don't to much mall shopping and your DC isn't a napper then I would get a sit-n-stand but if you have a napper and are a shopper then I would start testing some out.
Good Luck, it is by the far the worst thing I have ever had to shop for and I am still not happy with what I have

Re: Double Stroller Question???
I don't know about that one, but I have the Sit n stand deluxe from babytrend.com. It's very heavy, but it does the job when I need it. (It's tandum)
I'm in the market for a double jogger - the Bob Revolution I think. that is side by side - so it will be nice to have one of each for different needs. Although the Bob now has a carseat adapter, I almost wish I bought it from the beginning.
For stores, I find the easiest thing to do is to put the carseat in the cart and the older one in the back.

Re: Double Stroller Question???
My DD was just born and we have a 2 1/2 year old who always sits in his stroller. We looked at the kolocraft since it was such a good value but my son couldn't fit into it comfortably. His feet stuck out the bottom and he didn't like it at all. We purchased a graco quattro duo ( and we had to get a new carseat since the peg perego wouldn't work with it). I like the stroller but he can unbuckle the straps and gets out. I am in the process of taking the straps out and changing them with another stroller that he can't get out of. The only other problem I have with the stroller is that my son has to sit upright when the carseat is in the stroller, the seat doesnt recline. Bring your child and try out all the doubles before you decide. Remember you dont need it right away, we waited until #2 was a month old and there were coupons for BRB. Good luck
