Downton Abbey (spoilers, I guess)
Watching it again is just heavenly -- but I'm so worried about Mary. I need some of these people to come to their senses.
(I AM loving Mrs. Patmore's reaction to the newfangled contraptions -- like toasters and mixers  ... I also hate this nanny and am not sure how I feel about this whole O'Brien thing...)

I can definitely do without the tarty maid. I hated her the first time around.

I felt so bad for Mary when she lost it

I guess the Wardrobe Dept got an advanced heads up that purple was the Pantone color of the year.
I don't trust that Nanny to stay away! I gasped out loud when she called Sybil & Tom's daughter a "Half Breed"
Edith is an idiot that's all I have to say.

Beyond livid about the tart maid. i guess though they needed someone to hate and that fit the bill since O'Brien left.
Mary I can sense she is going to return to a hard/harsh woman who just poops on the world because she feels like the world is crapping on her. I can sympathize but with a child it's sad. She has a reason to live and love life.
Sybil is STUPID she keeps wasting her life on these men that aren't accessible.

I totally agree. But I think this is an interesting story line. If she was happily married it might be a little boring - at least for a TV show.

Am I the only one who doesn't like Mary?
She annoys me to no end...there were times when I just want to smack her...
And I do feel bad for Edith because she does always make bad choices...
But really, I think I watch the show for Maggie Smith...she has the best lines ever!
I'm so happy it's back!

i loved maggie smith!!! lots of great lines... like always. i love how the writers make her even more amazing than she already is.
they did give us a lot of great starting points.
i don't think that mary will go back to being harsh. i think she's going to come out of her mourning and kick ass for george's sake. i think she and tom will become great allies.
i need to put this out there... not only because i love anna, but i REALLY want to be mrs. bates when i grow up!!!
