Dr. Rodriguez actually delivered my daughter one week ago! She wasn't my OB -- I went to Women for Women (which I highly recommend). The doctors in that practice are Bell (my primary and favorite!), Smizer, Ostroff, Sanders, Duncan, and NP Newman. When you go there and are pregnant, they inform you right off the bat that they have 2 doctors who are solo practitioners who cover for the practice and may deliver you. One is Dr. Rodriguez and the other is Dr. Hessler whose office is in Forest Hills. You have the option to see one or both of them if you'd like throughout your pregnancy, but don't have to. I choose not to and met Dr. R in the hospital while in labor. She was FANTASTIC. I was originally bummed to hear when I checked into labor and delivery that one of the 5 doctors from my practice wasn't there, but it was such a blessing in disguise. She was such a calming presence and had great bedside manner. I had a decent tear after labor and she did a fantastic job stitching me up -- while I'm still sore (its only been a week), I think I'm healing really well. I have only good things to say about her.

Re: Dr. Carmen Rodriguez
So maybe she's back doing it. She was my OB with my oldest (almost 18 years ago) then left the practice when I was pregnant with my DS in 2004 (I did too)and was only doing GYN. Since it's harder to keep clients and obtain new clients I guess she went back to OB.
