Re: Dr. San roman and IUI question
I did not use Dr. San Roman. BUT all 5 of my IUIs were unmedicated and I never got so much as one trigger shot. I got PG three times. There was only one time when we came close, but I surged.

Re: Dr. San roman and IUI question
you would only have a trigger if you don't ovulate on your own. otherwise they will have you use opk's to determine if you are surging. I have never done an unmedicated cycle, so I don't know all the details but triggers are only given there if you don't surge on your own.

Re: Dr. San roman and IUI question
Dr. San Roman was my doctor and when they saw that I had an egg they did give the trigger shot to take the morning before my IUI. By some luck I actually ovulated on my own that month but to ensure my egg dropped in time for the IUI they gave me the shot. It was painless, no big deal but I did have my dad give me the shot because he's given shots before and my DH was nervous about doing it. IUI worked!!! Almost 13wks. preggers!! Lots of luck to you!!!!!

they always had me do the shot in the office. I always thought they didn't give the meds if you were surging on your own, they check me for a surge and I was on a completely medicated cycle. They told me that I wouldn't need the trigger if I w as surging on my own.
I guess each case is different.

Re: Dr. San roman and IUI question
I had 2 unmedicated IUI cycles with RSofNY and never got a trigger shot, just came in the day after the +OPK. I was also unmonitored so I don't know if that made a difference
