Dreft Vs. All Free & Clear Detergent

DS has very sensitive skin and we'd been using Dreft for all the kids' clothing & bedding. This week I accidentally used our other detergent (All Free & Clear) to wash the kids' bedding and VOILA ---

his rashes are gone this AM! Usually he wakes up with a crusty eye and a little bit of rashiness on his face but today he's perfect!

I never would have thought that switching detergents FROM the ped recommended one to the regular would do this! Chat Icon

That's crazy!!
What a fortunate accident!

I've been using All free & clear for a while. I think it gets the stains out better than Dreft.

I used Dreft only because people bought it for us. We've used Free and Clear since forever. lol I have sensitive skin so I assumed DS would too.

So funny you mentioned this! I almost posted about this too! DD always has this rash on her face, body, legs, etc. Sometimes it goes away, but is there a lot! I ran out of dreft and started using the Free and Clear and I haven't seen the rash since!!! I wish I had done it sooner!!! Dreft does have a scent, so I'm wondering if it is that.

Dreft has fragerance. DD had such a bad reaction to it when she was little !! I only use "free & clear" detergents (Tide, All, whatever is on sale) With the Chat Icon I am NOT using dreft because I don't want to go through that again !! It was rash after rash with DD and a nightmare.

Although I have to say - Dreft does smell really good !!
