Re: Driveway of all paving stones
Our driveway is all pavers, but it was already there when we moved in so i'm not sure what's underneath.
Make sure if you do get all pavers, let them do whatever they need to do to prevent indenting/warping. We (and just about all the other driveways in our community) have pretty noticeable indents in our driveways from cars being parked there. And the community is only 8 years old.

Re: Driveway of all paving stones
You really need a concrete base to support a driveway.

slab - concrete base, dont go with crushed concrete it will eventually settle and sink in places.

Re: Driveway of all paving stones
We used Gappsi and ours is on crushed stone. It is VERY thick (DH knows the depth)and was left to settle for months. They gauranteed that it would not dip or sink. So far its almost 9 years and the only issue I have is the weeds. That is where I wish it was concrete.

thank you for this. it's good to know that not all the crushed stone moves.
I am also concerned about the weeds. it takes away from the look of the pavers.
appreciate your help.

100% YES!!! My gf did her patio pavers on agrigate and it's a complete mess. She needs to redo it and it's not even 7 yrs old so under a driveway you need to do concrete... We did our patio paver on a concrete base and they are as perfect 7 yrs later as the day they were laid.
