Which one have you taken...Port Jeff or Orient Pt? Some say Port Jeff is better to take and others say Orient Pt gets you there faster. What do you think is better?

Thanks Shor-tay! It probably works out being the same. I think I am going to stick with Port Jeff.

The ride is longer to Orient but once you get to New London you are only about an hour from Boston (I think).

The Port Jeff will put you in Bridgeport

The Orient will put you in New London

They are about an hour from each other.

It depeends, if you rather drive I-95 for an hour, or out on the island for an hour.

And Boston is probably about 1 hour 45 mins-2 hours from New London

About 2 hours 45 mins-3 hours from Bridgeport.

I prefer the Orient Ferry, as i rather drive on Long Island than on I-95

have fun!Chat Icon

Be careful of the time when you are leaving...if its near rush hour you can hit lots of traffic in Connecticut if you take the Port Jeff ferry...I always take Orient Point because you can breeze through with little traffic as long as you time getting through Providence right.

I think the Orient ferry will get you to Boston faster.

We took Orient and it was just over an hour to Boston.

I've done both. I prefer the Orient Point Ferry because once you are in New London, it's only about an hour and a half drive to Boston.

Timewise, it all takes the same amount of time.
