Drs. Vullo / Ketchum / Sampino
Does anyone go to any of these doctors in West Islip? If so, which one? I am a big baby when it comes to going to the ob/gyn & just like my annual exam to be an easy,comfortable & quick one.
Currently I go to Dr. Ammirrata in West Islip; I like her, but the practice is HUGE!! I am trying to get pregnant, so I want to find a good practice that will be supportive should that special time arrive in the near future.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Vullo and Sampino are both wonderful doctors.
there is also another new female doctor in that practice that is sopposed to be very good too..

From what I have heard, he is the least liked in the group.. sampino and vullo are much better liked.

I've heard people that loved Ketchum. Vullo was a really long wait, so I just took Ketchum. I'm not pg yet, so I guess when the time comes I'll switch if I am not happy with him. Someone else told me that pesonality wise, Ketchum & the woman doctor are the best. So I guess it depends on the person's personal experience. Thanks.

I have only seen doctor Ketcham, but my pregnant friend has seen all and likes everyone.
It is a great practice.

I just switched from that practice because I'm delivering at Stony Brook. I saw the woman doctor there (Dr. Squicciarini) who was ver nice. There was never a wait to see her either, which is a plus. The only thing is, I noticed from the cards that she is not a memeber of the AMA, unlike the other ones in the practice. Not sure if that makes a difference to you.

I have been with them since they started in Massapequa. They delivered my last child. (Now 8) I absolutely love them. I only see Dr. Vullo or Dr. Sampino. They definately know their stuff, but are never condescending. Good choice.

Thank you for the replies. I went to Dr. Ketchum & liked him; however, I felt somewhat rushed when I saw him & when he called me about some bloodwork I had done. So.....he wants to see me back in Mar if I do not get pg. I think I might want to try Dr. Vullo. I hear wonderful things about him & now reading this post makes me want to switch even more.
