DS is sick for the first time!!! with a vent

I am so POed. I posted a bit about it earlier in the week but basically we went to a party where there were sick kids & no one there washed their hands or cared that they were exposing my son to the germs.

ANYWAY FF to yesterday morning when DS woke up with a gooey cough and could not breathe. We go to the Ped to find out it is some sort of virus & all we can do is watch him & ride it out.

So I take his temp every couple of hours to make sure it is not too high & try to get him to eat something, but he is really not hungry. At about 7 pm he starts screaming, so we feed him & he takes the fruit and the bottle. At 7:20 he projectiles all over the place & his temp spiked to 101.3

So we call the ped again & my poor little bug has been gagging ever since. We had to sleep him in his Carseat so he would not choke.

I hate seeing him sick & I am so mad that he was even exposed to it... it was so avoidable.

I feel your pain.

DS is getting over his first cold because MIL decided to come one day when she was sick. DIdn't even say anything as she left the Bronx to come all the way out here. Two days later, DS got sick.

I feel your pain.

Aww- Poor Baby G.

DD was sick earlier in the week and had a cold a few weeks back, and it is not fun to see your little one sick.

we went to the doctor with ds last friday and now both of us have pink eye

i hope he feels better soon!!! people can be so inconsiderate - this is when i can understand how some people become "crazy" about not letting their DC be touched/touch others...

I hope that he feels better soon..poor little guy.

This has always been a problem for me. It drives me crazy when people bring their sick children or don't tell you that their children are sick. I understand that sometimes as the kids are starting to feel better that it's unfair to exclude them but then at least say something so I know to stay away.

I used to say I would never be that parent and I have held strong to that. I tell anyone and everyone if Lucas is sick or even if I suspect something. I also do my best to keep things clean - wash my hands, his hands and the toys he touches. I just wish everyone else would.

Kids get sick...it happens but when it could have been avoided it really bothers me. (sorry to rant)
