Ductless AC
How much did you pay for your ductless AC? How many units and compressors did you have installed? Who did you use? Would you recommend them? Thanks!

Re: Ductless AC
We paid about 10,500 for our Mitsubishi ductless AC this summer. We got 4 heads installed and a 3 ton compressor. Our house is about 2400 square feet with vaulted ceilings. We placed a head in the three bedrooms and in our main open floor living area (entry way, living room, and kitchen) So far, we love it.
I was scared that the heads would be an eye sore, but I barely even notice them. They are SO quiet and quickly cool the rooms. Like DS' bedroom is literally cool in 2-3 minutes. I also feel like it is very energy efficient since at night, we're only cooling the two bedrooms and not the entire house like you would with traditional CAC.
I do not live on LI so I can not recommend our company. We went with Mitsubishi because they had the longest warranty on ALL parts - 12 years.

Re: Ductless AC
I'm not sure how much ours was because we did a combination of traditional central AC upstairs and a 2 Mitsubishi units downstairs. We used Arthur at A&R and were very happy with the results.

Ductless AC
We have a Ductless Split (Heat and Air) from Trane. We chose American because if something were to happen and I needed a part it was quicker to get. We used Dix Hills Air in East Northport and had a great experience. All tubes, pipes etc are run through my basement so there is no visible duct-work on the outside of your home. We paid $3500 (one unit) with a 10yr warranty/service. We could add on to the compressor if needed.
