Due Sunday...
I am due Sunday and I saw my doc yesterday and I am only 1 1/2 to 2 cm...
which is the same like 2 weeks ago...
He scheduled me to be induced on Tuesday....
Please send me some labor vibes... I really wished I would go naturally....
Thanks ladies...

Is there a reason he wans to induce you? Not everyone goes into labor by their due date...I thought they give you a week or sometimes two after.

Re: Due Sunday...
you do not HAVE to be induced unless there is a medical reason or some concern with the baby
If you do not want to be induced, tell your doctor so

In this practice they never really go past one week never two...
he wants to make sure that the level of amnio is ok.. they checked and it ok but not that much that I could go past Tues.

Re: Due Sunday...
if you don't want the induction, i would ask your doc to go as long as possible while your condition is still good.
but don't give up hope of going naturally! you've still got 4 days! don't let your lack of progress over the last couple weeks discourage you - it means nothing.
sending you LABOR VIBES!!!!!

I would made it very clear to your dr that you would prefer to delivery vaginally if possible. I feel from what you have said they are rushing you into a c-section unnecessarily.

They are scheduling an induction, not c-section. Being induced does not mean having a c-section.
To the OP, let your Dr. know you do not want to be induced, as long as your fluid levels are okay.

but being induced when your body is not ready for delivery (dialated) DOES increase your chance of a c-section dramatically

Re: Due Sunday...
I agree with the posters that said you should talk to your dr. about avoiding an induction if you don't want one. Aren't there things that they can do to monitor your fluid level? My high-risk doc told me that he wants to induce me at 39 weeks (long story), but he said if I don't want it, then I should talk to my OB and then be monitored every other day. Perhaps you can have the same type of monitoring. Good luck and let us know what happens.

I totally get that, but the dr. didn't schedule a c-section as this poster indicated.
I was induced a week early with no dialation and did not end up with a c/s.

Sorry if I upset you. I know they want to schedule you for an induction but from the experience of family and friends it seems to more than not lead to c-section if you aren't ready yet. Sorry if I didnt explain what I meant more clearly. Stephanie got my point across better than I did

Re: Due Sunday...
I agree with the other girls - that is not even a week past your due date, I would hold off on the induction. Most first time mommies go late.
I was induced - 12 days late - and ended up with a c-section. I also had low fluid levels and drank tons of water, that increased it alot.
Good luck!
