Dumb Q - Sleeping meds for kids?

I am not talking valium or hard core things. I am talking about something safe that maybe our PED could give us.

I am not sure how DS will be able to handle a 3 hour flight.

TIA

Maybe Benadryl?

We've had to give it to James to control his itchy rashes and it knocks him out within 10 minutes.

Get a portable DVD player and some videos. It worked wonders with DD.

If you do go the medication route, I would def try it out ahead of time. Sometimes that stuff has the opposite of the intended effect-even tylenol.

I agree!

We're flying next month to FL and i already got some wonder pets dvds and a new thomas the train coloring book with TONS of stickers. Add in some lollipops and i'm hoping we're good to go! Chat Icon

Definitely get a few NEW items for the plane ride.

He might just surprise you. I know mine has each time we've flown when i thought for sure it would be a disaster. Chat Icon

Re: Dumb Q - Sleeping meds for kids?

We are bringing the DVD player. It is old so let's hope the batteries will last or we are doomed.

Kate, thanks for the suggestion but DS is NOT into coloring. He hates it.

I will just feed him junk for 3 hours. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Is benadryl "safe" for kids his age?

I guess I will ask the PED.
