Dumb question-- daddies taking daughters into public bathrooms (quick answer needed please!)
I feel like a dummy but I have no clue what the answer is.
DH is taking DD (4 years old) to a class at the aquarium tomorrow. It's a 3-hour class, so she'll definitely need the bathroom.
What bathroom do they use? At that location they have Men's or Women's, no unisex bathrooms. I mean, I know he can't go into the Women's room, so I assume he takes her into the Men's room, right? But he said "what about the urinals? I can only IMAGINE the questions she'll be asking"
He asked me and I have no idea  Whenever he takes her out alone, it's only for a few hours to the store, park, etc and no bathroom trip is needed....and longer outings, I'm with them, so I schlep her to the women's room.
Yes, I feel dumb for asking

I would say the men's room...only because I take my boys into the women's room...and I would think it would be weird (for both your husband and the woman) if your husband were in the ladies room, and other women were in there...

The mens room... I am pretty sure if he took her into the ladies room, there would be a lot of angry women in there.. I take the boys I watch into the ladies room.. He won't be the only man to ever take their daughter into the mens room...

Do they have a family restroom? I know the Liberty Science Museum does (I live in NJ). Otherwise, yeah, he should bring her into the men's room

Dh takes dd to the mens room, i think if anything he makes her close her eyes until they get to the stall when they walk in if there are other people in there

Thanks ladies  I really felt so stupid asking...we both figured he couldn't go into the ladies room, but just KNOW the questions will flow upon entering the men's room....like "why does it smell in here", and more embarrassing as she goes.
Ought to be interesting stories tomorrow. He's probably going to deprive her from water so he can avoid the situation

Mens room! Funny story- My mom told me that when I was about 4/5 my dad took me into the mens room to use the bathroom. Apparently someone farted in the stall next to me and I said "Excuse you! That's disgusting!" My dad was mortified and never brought me into the bathroom again! LOL! Good luck to your DH tomorrow!

My hubby is such a prude and so easily embarrassed in funny situations like this...ah, to be a fly on the wall tomorrow.
I just told him the consensus from on here (which we assumed would be the case anyway) and he said "do you know why men use the stalls in there instead of the urinals?" Um YES dummy, I know He told me he was going to hold her way above the toilet seat.
He then asked if he can befriend a mother from the class tomorrow and ask her to take her in. The look of disgust I shot him scared him, and he insisted he was just kidding.
Best part is that his brother is taking the class tomorrow too (with my nephew) and he will get quite the chuckle watching his brother squirm (while he takes his SON into the men's room )

DH takes my DD into the men's room all the time! I never thought twice about it!
ETA: It was great when DD informed me that "Daddy doesn't put toilet paper on the seat like you do." Um .. yeah, DADDY got a little talking-to after that!
