dumb question about weight watchers
do you actually have to go to the meetings all the time- or do you have someone you meet with that tells you about the program and then you can get weighed in every week.
I ask because I would like to go during the day but I have no one to watch Talia.

Re: dumb question about weight watchers
Jen, I just started WW online. I heard you lose more if you go to the meetings, but I just cant get there - between work and Katie its impossible. I like it so far online. They have message boards and the email you suggestions. You enter all your info, how much you want to lose, etc and they give you the amt of points you can have per day (I did the points plan) and you chart your food each day and can track what you eat and how many point you have left each day and week. YOu weigh yourself once a week and then the amount of points you can have change based on your weight loss.
I like it so far. Yahoo has a ton of msg boards too for it and WW and Yahoo have tons of recipies you can get too.

Re: dumb question about weight watchers
You are suppose to go every week and you get weighed in and then they have the meeting. Just beware, if you skip a meeting they charge you the following week. I use to work for WW on Tuesday nights in East Hampton where I live and weighed people in after I became a Lifetime Member. I have always loved WW and had to stop last Jan because I worked for an accounting office and then I got pregnant. Yes, you can go online and do the program but, it's better to go to the meetings and you meet people who are in the same boat as you and you all learn from each other and help each other out. But for now, if you have noone to help you maybe you should do it online. Good luck!

You can bring her. They also have a list of meetings when they encourage you to bring your toddler. If you look on the website you'll see.

Re: dumb question about weight watchers
I never went to one meeting when I was on WW. I lost 30 pounds in 6 months by myself. I weighed in at home once a week.

I used to go to some of the meetings, but not all. You can just go and get weighed.

Re: dumb question about weight watchers
I did this a few years ago and did really well, trying to do it on my own isn't working so I'm going to go back. Where are you located, maybe we could go during the day together!
