Dumbest post EVER
Please help settle an argument.
DH asked me to park in the front of the driveway so he could shovel where my car had been parked.
I said my car was already in the front of the driveway, because it was parked all the way to the garage.
He said the front of the driveway is the part closest to the street. The part nearest the house is the back of the driveway.
What do you think?

I always say (and DH does too) that "The plows blocked the bottom/End of the driveway with the snow"

Well, I would look at it like this:
The front of the house is closest to the road, vs. the back of the house.
For the record, though, I say the end of the driveway.

I always thought the front of the driveway is the part that is closest to the house... I guess it all depends on the perspective of the person! haha!

The front of the driveway is closest to the street because that's the first spot people come to when they're coming to your house.
I asked DH & he agreed.
The part closest to the front is the front of the driveway OR the end of the driveway. The back would be the part closest to the back of the house.

I agree with this- I think you are right.
But usually I refer to it as the top of the driveway (by the house) and the end (by the street)

We use the term "end" of the driveway, not the "front", but to me both are the part of the driveway near the street. I have no idea what we would call the part closest to the garage. This is very interesting!

See, I back in to my driveway, so that rationale wouldn't work for me. 
To answer the original question: I would say the front the driveway is where it meets the street.

well when someone asks who is parked in front of your driveway I think (close to the street) but if you were to say put your car in front of the driveway I think up by the house
