dust buster to pick up food?
Since DD makes such a mess when she eats, I have been using the cone dust buster to clean scraps of food too small to pick up. BAD idea! All the food got stuck in the narrow part & it smells awful! Any suggestions on a dust buster that is easy to open & clean all the crap out so it doesn't get stuck in there?

If you only want something small, what about a simple, small hand held broom & dustpan set that nests together?
I guess you don't have a dog? I've nicknamed her Hoover, because she immediately gets EVERY crumb dropped!

Re: dust buster to pick up food?
Before we had a dog I used a dust buster as well, it stunk, so I had stopped using it. Honestly, I found that letting the crumbs sit for a bit (so they dried up, so to speak) and then using a broom and dust pan worked the best. Anything liquid that wouldn't dry out I just used a Clorox wipe or paper towel in between floor cleanings.

Too bad I can't get my cat to eat avocado Since you both mentioned it, I guess a small broom & dust pan is probably the best thing (besides a dog)
