we ate in the park so i can't tell you where to get stuff although i'm sure there are lots of places nearby to pick something up if you want picnic outside. DW is on a VERY busy road with lots of stores, hotels, restaurants etc,, also, the waterpark area is separate so you could change your kids and then do the ride part separately. it's set up really well. have fun! we just got back and had a great time! loved it!

Re: dutch wonderland - food ? and waterpark?
as PP said - the water park is separate, which makes things easier.
the food at DW is amusement park food - expensive and not great. (although they do have a chocolate dipping booth - yum)
We ate a big breakfast, went to the park at opening and took a lunch break back at the hotel/pool (to beat the crowds at DW) we went back in the late afternoon (crowds were gone) and had a late dinner.
For breakfast I love Bob Evans (a few blocks east of DW)!
If you like family style (I don't, but my extended family loved this place). Try Good N Plenty. There is a big billboard on route 30 to tell you how to go (it's on a cross street to 30, I just forget which one). You choose the number of choices that you get at your table and then choose the meat(s), veggies, drinks, etc and pass it all around family style.
A typical dinner may include Baked Country Ham, Mashed Potatoes, Roast Beef, Crispy Fried Chicken, Baked Country Sausage, Noodles, Vegetables, Chow Chow, Pork & Sauerkraut, Pepper Cabbage, Homemade Bread, Shoo Fly Pie . . . and much, much more

Good N' Plenty was really fun! Big platters of food. You will be absolutely stuffed just TRYING all the foods they lay out for you!
Also - if you staying at or near Willow Valley Resort - they have a FABULOUS breakfast buffet that I would highly recommend.

We had a big breakfast then hit the park & then at lunch ended up at Sonic. There are a ton of restaurants though right outside the gates of DW (they stamp your hand & you can come/go as you wish). We did rides in the am, then lunch & then did the water area.
