Dutch Wonderland - Jess' Review
so, after much debate - we went with the 'twilight' admission - 3 hours, little less than half price.
we read on the website - HAND HELD INFANTS can go on just about 7 rides, so that's why we chose the twilight. we were in the area - so the twilight wasn't a huge deal (is it worth it to make a trip out of the way for it? i don't know).
the water area was ADORABLE - we didn't want to 'waste' our time, as it wasn't too hot and Em's a FREEZING cold kid in the water...but we could've EASILY spent an entire day there on a hot day.
the rides were really cute & VERY kid friendly (for NON HAND HELD INFANTS)....they seemed very well 'kept' and it was just overall a very nice, clean and kid friendly park.
we didn't go to any of the shows - but Dave's parents did go to one and they enjoyed it (his mom kept pushing us to see a show, but we wanted to get Em on the rides - i didn't write down the 7 rides she could go on - STUPID mistake on my part...so we'd have to walk up to each ride and see if it had the 'no hand held infants' sign.).
they have cups that you can purchase and refill at any time (for roughly $2.00 every time). the souvineers were decently priced...not insane pricey - but not insane cheap.
later this summer, when Em is walking - we plan to go back and i'm sure she'll get MUCH more out of it...but if your child is already walking independently, then this is THE place for you!

Re: Dutch Wonderland - Jess' Review
Thanks for the review Jess. We are going very soon. Really for Bryan. Are there rides that the 4 of us will be able to do, like, if C sits on one of our laps? Im not so sure what you mean by "Hand Held Infant".. LOL I'm excited for the water area...Both kids LOVE the water, so, I hope the weather ccoperates for us.

hand held infants means children that cannot stand and walk on their own. they are 'solo' on the rides, or can sit and not wriggle out of seats. (this is my opinion, no 'official' description).
there were rides where Em can use her hands and make a car go, but she would NEVER stay still long enough to do it. there was an antique car ride that i don't understand WHY we couldn't go on...but it said no hand held infants....
maybe because hand held kiddies are more 'wriggly' and less likely to stay still??
we went on: the tug boat dragon's lair (em enjoyed 'steering') gondola cruise merry go-round we could've gone on the monorail crazy plane wonderland special (train)

Re: Dutch Wonderland - Jess' Review
IMO the bst age to go is around 5, 6, and 7. Younger and older can have fun too but I think the ones who can get the most out of it is K-1st grade. We went when my oldest was 7 and she had a blast! She was able to go on everything.
