Dutch Wonderland and Day out with Thomas

We are planning a trip for June and we aren't sure if we should get the 2 day pass to Dutch Wonderland or if the 1 day pass is sufficient.

We figured we would leave early Saturday morning and spend the day at Dutch Wonderland (the park is open until 8:30 so even if we didnt get to the park until 12 I think it is still plenty of time) than stay over night and go to Day Out w/Thomas on Sunday and leave after.

Does that sound like a good plan or do you think it is too rushed?

ETA: Did you buy your tickets ahead of time for both parks? I was thinking of doing that for Thomas but if it rains I dont want to buy the ticket ahead of time for Dutch Wonderland as well.

I felt Dutch Wonderland was definitely a 1 day thing. We did the regular rides in the morning and then played at the water park part in the afternoon and then left.

I'm planning on doing the :
Preview Plan: Be Our Guest
It’s 3 hours before Park closing and we want you to be our guest! Purchase a regular admission ticket for a full day at the Park tomorrow – and join us FREE for the remainder of the evening!

I think that will be enough.
