Dutch Wonderland -ETA-new question
IS this good for a 2 yr old? I dont think he will go on rides alone though that are his age suitable?
Its a bit Expensive to get in, so I dont wanna risk it when our vacation has become a budget one.
TIA!
eta-so we pretty much decided here vs. Sesame like planned for a few reasons.
So we looked at hotels and the Continental Inn across the street looks ok with the two pools and playground. Anyone ever stay there?
There are nicer hotels around, but I dont want to pay $150 a night. Its the same weekend as Thomas the Train and so the hotels are making prices higher.
TIA!

Re: Dutch Wonderland
I've never been there, but Emma went on a lot of the rides at Dorney Park last Summer. Myself or my sister went with her, and a few like the cars, airplanes, etc. she went on alone. Maybe you could try out a few things at Adventureland first!

Re: Dutch Wonderland
Yes. I think it's perfect for a 2 year old. The water park they have there is awesome too (if you go in the summer obviously). I think it's a great park for toddlers.

Re: Dutch Wonderland
2 is a great age, and still free to get in (under 3). You or DH can ride on many rides with him and there's a bunch of kiddie rides, too. The sprinkler park has a separate "little kids" section.
I just got group tix (23 of us are going) for $21 each and there's always coupons around... one year I bought tix off Ebay for about $23 each. Also, we always go the night before for the free 3 hour "preview".
My boys (3 and 5) love it there!

Re: Dutch Wonderland
It is my kids favorite place on this world. LOL! I took my kids last year & they wanted to go on everything. (my daughters were 2 1/2) We are going again this year. They usually have coupons & special deals.

Re: Dutch Wonderland
We just booked it for the June 24th weekend for my boys who will be 20 months..I heard it was perfect for them. There are many "family" rides that you can go on with them. We are also staying at the Continental Inn next door so we can just walk back to the room if we need a break. They also have an indoor and outdoor pool along with a playground...

Re: Dutch Wonderland
Went there 2 years ago when DD was almost 3. She still remembers the trip. She refers to the place as Duke's Castle (name of the Purple Dragon is Duke). Yes your toddler will enjoys the trip. So many cute rides. She still asks us when are we going back to Dukes Castle.
