Dutch Wonderland Hotel choices... Experienced travelers advice please.

Trying to choose where to stay.

Based on availability and rates, the hotel we choose will choose our travel dates (a choice of 4 long weekends in the fall).

Based on your stay, which would you choose and why? No meal plans.

Amish View, Eden, Double Tree, Country Inn or Steamboat.

All for king bed room, however Amish View is a 2 queen bed room to compete with other rates. For a king room in Amish View would be $200 more for the trip. If it's worth it, we would possibly take a splurge. We do not travel much. This one is looking like my choice. Chat Icon

Thanks.

Re: Dutch Wonderland Hotel choices... Experienced travelers advice please.

I've only stayed at the Eden, which was just last week.

I have to say it was very nice... A beautiful room, great pool, nice restaurant inside. However, on our last day the fire alarms went off at 5 am. They were very low. I thought it was DH's alarm clock and when I got up to shut it, it was coming from the hallway. It didn't wake up anyone (in our room) but me. I had to wake up my family and run outside in our PJs, and only maybe 5 other families were out there, I'm guessing because the alarm was so low no one heard it, and the hotel staff didn't call the rooms or bang on doors. It just felt like a very unsafe situation. I would never stay there again for only that reason.

I would probably stay at the Steamboat because of the location. It's right near DW, the outlets, and the Strassburg RR.

We stayed at Steamboat in June in a king room and there was a seperate living area where we set up the pack and plays and it was wonderful!!! Highly recommend them!

Because we have Holiday Inn points, we stayed at the Holiday Inn right up the road from Dutch Wonderland.

The pool was good, free breakfast, clean rooms and right in the outlets! It was so cool!

I think we've narrowed it down to the Amish View Inn or the Steamboat.

We're not big box hotel folk.
