Re: dyson vacuum?

I so know that I am going to get a billion people saying that they love them and stuff...but I do not know anyone who has one that is happy with one! One of my friends threw his away within a year because he thought it was such a piece of crap!!! I think that there are lots of other great vacuums on the market out there, and Dysons are just so popular that everyone thinks that they are great! All my friends say that they lose suction over time and you can't get it back working like it was brand new.

I just bought a Miele TT, I haven't had it long enough to recommend it but so far so good...

Good Luck!

Re: dyson vacuum?

I've heard mixed things about the Dysons. Some people love it and some hate it. I don't think there's a happy medium.

Take your money and before you buy check out consumer reports.

We bought a Kenmore. It's my second one ..the first one had an industrial accident!Chat Icon

Great machines with great warranties from Sears.

I just got one, the Animal 14. Prior to this, I had a Kenmore canister. As far as uprights are concerned, I think it does an excellent job. I don't think it vacuums as well as a canister would or does. However, the upright is much easier to clean with and I now vacuum almost everyday (not sure that is a benefit).

I have had a Miele and it was a very good vacuum but I felt it was overpriced for what you got. I really think the Kenmores are excellent vacuums. I had mine for over 10 years and it's still going strong.

Re: dyson vacuum?

I had a Tornado or Hurricane vaccuum and then when I got the Dyson Animal and used it after I vaccuumed, the carpet literally fluffed up. And I have a dog that sheds a decent amount and I have vaccuumed and then gotten down on my hands and knees to look for dog hair and there was none. I am a Dyson fan!
