Early August moms-What are you're coming home outfits for baby?
I have twins who will be 20 months when the baby is born. DH and the twins are all coming to pick me up from the hospital when we are discharged. I was going to put the twins in Big Brother and big sister t-shirts and the baby in a little brother onsie and shorts or pants? Do you think short sleeves is good? Should i do a long sleeve t-shrit? TIA!

Re: Early August moms-What are you're coming home outfits for baby?
I am a first time mom and originally picture my DD due in the middle of august coming home in just a short sleeve onesie and a receiving blanket.
But, when I went on the hospital tour the nurse insisted that they also pants (With feet, if not with socks) and be fully covered. Even in august. They wanted us to bring a onesie, pants, something to cover the feet, a hat and a receiving blanket. I hope they realize we have really bad AC in the car and it gets burning hot in there....

I'm team so I have 2 outfits picked out. The girl outfit is a little frilly - almost doiley - 2 piece short sleeved outfit and the little boy is a little sailor one-piece. Both are from Janie and Jack. Of course, I am buying hats and socks and have a comfy blankie to wrap our LO in.
Your idea with your twins is too cute!

Oh that's interesting! We have the tour tonight so I will ask, as well. I might have to rethink my decisions.

Thanks ladies I think i'll do a short sleeve onsie and bring a long sleeve onsie for underneath just incase it happens to be rainy and a little chilly that day, although i doubt it will be cold. We'll probably have the A/C on in the car but not full blast so i did plan on bringing a recieveing blanket and hat for the baby. Thanks again!
I also bought DD a hair clip (because i am OBSESSED with accessories for her) that says' "big sister" to go with her t-shirt

Whether a girl or a boy, it will be dressed in short sleeve/short romper with cotton socks and cotton hat and a blanket over it. Its August, its hot and humid, I refuse to overdress my baby.

So, last night I asked the instructor about coming home outfits in August. She said keep it light. No long pants and long sleeves. Of course, she said socks, a cotton hat and a blanket. She said it's going to be hot out and you don't want to overheat your baby. I guess everyone has a different opinion on this, but trust your judgment as a mom and dress your baby how you're comfortable. I'm sticking with my choices.

Thanks for posting this! I'm going to bring a light pair of pants just in case it happens to be a little on the cool side and a pair of shorts.

Just a onesie. I will have a light blanket in case it's raining. I'm team green. I am going to use the same onesie my ds came home in because it's gender neutral.
