Questions about Early Intervention Coming to Your Home
Hello,
I set up an appointment for them to come..
I've heard different things...do they really want a tour of the house and the child's room?
This is making me so nervous....I feel like everything has to be "just so"...
any insight?

I had people come in NJ and they didn't ask for a tour... then again, I am in an 1100 sq foot apt.
They just wanted to see Sasha play and see what she was able to do physically since that's why they were here.

My both children are in E.I. and not 1 therapist/Teacher asked for a tour.
I have someone on here M-F..sometimes I have 3 people here in 1 day.
Never ever was a tour asked for by anyone.
I simply introduced myself and said "Here's where you can work" and showed them the den.

I am a special ed evaluator for EI and I have never asked for a tour of the house. Maybe the social worker who does a family assessment might but I have never heard of it before.

we've had a small army of therapists come to our home...I've never given them a tour nor have they asked.

I work in EI and have never asked for a tour of the house. I worked with some children for years and have never once seen their bedroom.

DS had two evaluators come and they never toured the house. His speech therapist was in his room once, but not by request--we were having work done in the house and the living room was too noisy.

Never heard of that, we have had a ton of eval's and therapists come. We almost always just sit at the kitchen table!

They have never asked for a tour of the house, once one of the therapists asked to use the bathroom and she kinda got a tour since our one bathroom is upstairs in the back of the house

we had 7 therapists at one time and none of them ever asked for a tour.
we started EI upstairs and then later moved all services to his playroom downstairs
