Early Evening Snacks?
My diet tends to fall apart around 6 or so every day. It is just about impossible for me to have dinner ready around then since I have to wash, change, feed, and get DS ready for bed. Plus, DH doesn't get home until around 8 most days, and I like to eat with him.
So I wind up eating too much for my snack at 6, because I am usually starving following my noonish lunch.
Does anyone else run into this issue? What do you eat to tide yourself over, any suggestions?

If I eat at 12ish, I have to eat something at 4 or I'll get dizzy. I am transitioning to a Vegetarian diet, so lately I have been eating these and I LOVE them!! Sooooo good for you - you can just pop in the microwave. If I eat them for dinner I have 2, but for a snack just one:

Re: Early Evening Snacks?
Thanks! I'll have to look for these. Quick and easy is important, and it's why I go off course at this time of day. Chips are quick and easy too.
I always forget about certain things too--like string cheese. And peanut butter.
Thanks for the ideas!

Re: Early Evening Snacks?
I think it would help for you to have a snack between your noon lunch and your 6pm snack. That way you aren't craving so bad by the time 6pm rolls around and you can get by with a lighter snack. I'd have something light at 3pm, like a piece of fruit, veggies with hummus, yogurt, cheese with crackers, etc, and then something similar at 6pm.
If I'm craving at 6pm I try to get something with fiber that will fill me up - an apple, fiber crackers with laughing cow cheese, etc.

Re: Early Evening Snacks?
I'm a big fan of TJ's light string cheese! I also pick on almonds (unsalted) or even have an apple. You can always have sugar free/fat free jello or pudding, or a sugar free frozen fruit pop.
