What happened on the LI Sound this evening?
Right now, there are over a dozen police boats and helicopters on the LI Sound spread over a very very large area, it's like they are frantically searching for something. It's at least from Port Jeff to Mount Sinai.
Did anyone hear of anything?
WE are standing in our backyard watching the helicopters racing back and forth! I hope no one is hurt.

I caught a glimpse of something on News 12 tonight something about an overturned boat with alot of people on it!!!!!!

I haven't heard of anything, but something was definately going on...there were police boats with sirens on, all over the place, and spread out of miles and miles.

There was a boat fire.
One man was rescued, not sure if any more where on the boat though, they did say.

i just saw it. very brief and non-descript.
