Re: Early labor question...TMI
Is it mucusy? It could be your mucus plug then. So long as your not having other symptoms, bc they do say green discharge can also be a yeast infection I believe.
But if its just your mucus plug no need to call the doctor it will come out little by little sometimes for women.

Re: Early labor question...TMI
Does it look and feel like snot? If so- it's probably part of your mucus plug. I have been losing pieces for days. It usually doesn't mean anything is impending right away- unless you see some blood in it- which could be bloody show.

Re: Early labor question...TMI
Ok, maybe mucus plug then, it did look like sort of green snots lol, but no blood and I don't have any other symptoms that would lead me to believe it's a yeast infection. I have doc on Friday, I guess it can wait right? I'm only 34 weeks, is it early to start losing mucus plug? I need to investigate now! LOL Thanks

It can wait till you appt as long as you don't see blood in it and as long as you aren't feeling any contractions etc
I hear it can start coming out early like that and sometimes it even regenerates itself.
Nothing to really worry about right now- just keep an eye out- wear a pantiliner- and mention it to the Dr at your visit

Re: Early labor question...TMI
My discharge seems to have turned a little green as well the last few days. I really didn't think it was my mucus plug though... I kind of thought it was regular, although I'm thinking of mentioning it at my appointment tomorrow in case it's a yeast infection.

Re: Early labor question...TMI
Just to let you ladies know, I put a quick call to the doc, and they sent me right to L&D. They didn't want to alarm me, so they didn't tell this right away, the nurse told me when I got to hospital after I had been checked out and hooked up to fetal monitor, sometimes your water can break early, and if the baby has a bowel movement, there is a greenish discharge that is maconium (spelling???). So, just to be on the safe side, they wanted to make sure I wasn't leaking fluid or my water didn't break when I peed and might not have realized! Thank God everything is good!!! I'm home already, they took me right in and I was only there for 2 hours!!!
