Early Sept... Fall or summer?

Technically I know early Sept is still summer. I'm thinking out a newborn shoot and am trying to decide if I could eat away with doing any fall accessories (just fall leaves. No pumpkins or anything like that.)

Do you ladies think early Sept. (due date is 9/7) is fall or summer?

Summer. It get still be really hot in Sept.

My DD's birthday is 9/7. The year she was born, September was pretty hot and every year thereafter, her birthday has been warm and nice.

That said, when I think of September, I think fall. (Also, DC may come a week or two late and then isn't the shoot a week or two after that?) I think leaves are appropriate, and after all, it's a one-time photo shoot; you're not going to be dressing him/her in sweaters and hats every day.

I got married on September 10th and considered it a fall wedding. The weather was beautiful, not too hot but not cold at all. I think you could definitely use some fall props.

Technically it's the summer but sooo close to fall and when your announcements go out it will be fall - so I'd say you can go either way.

I'm a teacher so I think of September as fall. That said if September was my newborn shoot I'd probably do a back to school looking shoot with DS in a tie, frames for glasses, apple on top of a stack of books and a chalkboard with his stats at birth etc. DH and I are both teachers so this would be fitting for us leaves, apples, sunflowers could be cute.

I'm obsessed with autumn, so I'd be pumpkin-ing it up! Announcements will prob go out end of sept anyway.

It drives me crazyyyyyyyyyyyy when people start with Fall crap once Labor day is over with. It's still summer!!!!!!!!!

Tiny Tot's shoot was in Aug. I had no summer props.

Well I would do fall just because at that point its the END of summer and you're going into fall. So by the time you get the prints and send out the photos, it will be almost the start of fall. I usually agree with not pushing the next season too early but photo shoots are usually done that way anyway. (like how magazines are always a month ahead)

Our wedding was on 9/7 and we went with summer flowers. But, it's your choice and you can do whatever you want. If you want a fall shoot, then why not? You also might just wait and see since your baby could come earlier (more clearly summer) or later (more fall).
