East Coast Fertility
Does anyone go to this practice? I have an appointment on the 16th there ( a friend highly recommended Dr. Z) and was wondering what their hours are.
I see that I'm going to be going pretty frequently (once I start meds) and was wondering if they're flexible. How does everyone find time with work?
This is all so overwhelming...

Re: East Coast Fertility
Well I don't see that pracitce, but the practice I go to opens at 6:30 so you can go in before work for monitoring. For me I end up being late, but I had to tell my boss what was going on since I started my IVF cycle. It's much easier having him in the loop then trying to come up with reasons why I am late. He has been so understanding and flexible. It's not easy, but you'll figure out how to make it work for you

I went - did 1 IUI - and switched to another practice. It's a long story, which if you want to know I can FM you.

Re: East Coast Fertility
Hi,
I go to East Coast. I actually am starting my stimulation for IVF with ICSI on Thursday. They just recently changed their morning monitoring hours from 7:00 AM to 6:30 AM which is fantastic considering I live out east, will go to Plainview for monitoring and then need to be in Queens where I teach. It's not going to be EASY at all but I told my administation I'd be late by a bit and thank God, so far they are understanding.
I use Dr. Pena and he is so-so. Not too much personality but I heard good so time will tell.
Good luck and if you need anything I am an FM away.

Re: East Coast Fertility
I havent been there so I cant personally comment on their skills. They are a very commercialized clinic though. They sponsor this board, advertise in a lot of places... I think I even saw them at the movie theatre once

Re: East Coast Fertility
I'm sorry to hear that some of you didn't have a good experience - now I'm nervous. My really good friend who now has twins highly recommended it to me. I guess I'll have to wait and see...

everyone has different experiences everywhere...
I think for simpler cases its ok, but for more difficult cases its better to go to a top clinic JMO

Re: East Coast Fertility
Thank you everyone for your honest replies.
I will go this month and I guess see how I feel after I meet with the doctor. Everyone will have a different experience, and I need to keep that in mind. Thanks again!
