Easy updo for curly hair?

I have a wedding to attend on a Sunday in New Rochelle, so I can't get my hair done (traveling from LI).

My hair is dark and curly, a tiny bit past my shoulders, and I'd rather not wear it down because it gets so frizzy and I am going to dance my azz off

Any ideas? Something easy, the only updo I have ever done on myself is a bun! Oh and no braids please, I look like a 12 year old with those in my hair.

When my hair was around your length I would just pin it up loosely with bobbie pins. It looked like a relaxed updo and took no time. I would put in a mouse after my shower, twist or braid the left side between the middle of my forehead and my ear for some volume and then just start picking pieces and pinning. You could also try youtube as well. LOTS of great ideas there!

Pull up the front in sort of a poof (not like a snooki poof lol, curly poofs are way different), then pull up sections. Here's a pic from my friends wedding. It was literally all done with just bobby pins and my natural curl.

Mine is very long and very curly - but I basically pull it back loosely with pretty pins or baretts into a glorified low ponytail -

My BIL got married last month, at least 10 people asked me where I got my hair done -

Upside to curly hair, it easily looks like you put SO much effort into it !!
