Eating and sleeping issues continued: need help PLEASE
So here we are, Saturday and DD still won't eat well without a song, dance and maybe me standing on my head. And then as a result, she has an empty stomach and won't fall asleep. Right now my mom is here with me (DH is out playing poker) and my mom is giving DD a bottle because I nursed her so much my boobs are flat
I am at my wits end. I don't want to force her to eat because she is trying to feed herself (and getting better at it) but I need to fill that belly so she can sleep. And her walking has gotten so good that she moves like a flash and that burns calories too.
I need ANY suggestions you have used and have worked. Thanks!!

What is her sleeping/eating schedule?
I read that it's not what the eat in the course of a day, but in the course of a few days. I would start writing down what she's eating (maybe post it so we can offer suggestions). I know my son will power eat the next day if he hasn't eaten a lot the day before.
Hang in there!

My mom said she heard this as well.
Her schedule used to be
8AM nurse 9AM breakfast (oatmeal and fruit)
11AM bottle
12:30 nurse a bit 3PM yogurt and fruit and some goldfish crackers
5:30 nurse 6:30 rice, veggie and some stuff from the table
8:30 bath 9PM nurse and sleep
Over the past week or so, though it has been
nurse well tap dance for breakfast
Bottle okay
nurse well
tap dance AND song for lunch
nurse well
STAND ON HEAD for dinner
nurse, nurse, nurse and finally get to sleep at 11PM or later

Re: Eating and sleeping issues continued: need help PLEASE
Maybe you could try to feed her meals before you offer the bottle. It seems to me that my son prefers 6 small meals to 3 large because he hates to sit still, could that be her issue? Maybe she quickly loses interest in her food. I also give him small snacks, like goldfish crackers or cheerios in a cup while he is playing, he likes to feed himself & the dog. I also give him a fork to feed himself while I feed him, it keeps him entertained. Hang in there, I'm sure she will eat soon.

I guess I will try giving her snacks during the day and let her graze. I guess I am just sleep deprived and frazzled. She won't even let me near her with the spoon.
Just say a prayer that this strike ends soon and she starts to eat normally (whether by spoon or by finger) soon.
I need a break.
