Re: eating grass
My dogs do it, but they always did. They only do it when really excited or really bored...which is one or the other usually.
I don't know why they do it though. I just think in my dogs case, they are nuts and can't control their excitement so they eat leaves, grass, twigs, etc. But I don't let them, I don't want them to get hurt or vomit in my house.

Re: eating grass
So I looked this up on line and it said my Dog may have a hankering for veggies.. She may need more fiber in her diet.. OR... She does have an upset stomach and the grass tickles her belly inside and causes her to throw up the grass and what ever is bothering her.. I gave her 1/2 a tums and she never threw up.. I hate when she throws up I feel so bad for her.. and for when its on the rug or my bed!! Today I want to see if she will eat some broccoli I am going to try it but I doubt she will..

Re: eating grass
When I take Brody for a walk or let him out he sometimes eats grass and then immediately sits down and pukes. Soemtimes I think he just eats it because he likes it, but I know it is pretty common and normal.

Re: eating grass
from time to time she will eat grass. but, almost always, she throws it up. she threw up just the other day - i found three blades of grass. i looked at her and she looked back at me almost to say "i know i always get sick but i can't help it"

Re: eating grass
Whenever Lexy eats grass she always throws up. I have read and been told that they eat grass becuase their stomach is upset and it makes them throw up. I don't know why the grass does this!

Re: eating grass
Tiger only eats grass if his stomach is upset and needs to throw up.
