EBF Moms
Does it mean that DS is full when he has suckled on one breast and then falls asleep. My milk has started to really come in now and I was wondering if this is a sign that he is full. I try to switch to the other breast but he doesnt take it all the time.

Depends on how long he was on one? My DD always just fed off one and fell asleep. I would try to nudge her awake with the other one but she wasnt interested. If he was feeding for 10 or more mins on the first breast then he was probably full.
Now that she is older she will jump from one to the other and back again - acrobatic BF

ITA, same for me too. Gianna hardly took the other boob for the 1st couple months.

my dd in the beginning only nursed on one side as well...she would fall asleep
I would try to wake her up to switch sides (rub her feet, get her naked down to the diaper, etc)...sometimes that would work, sometimes not

He is usually on one for like 40 minutes

Oh if he is on one for 40 mins then I would definitely say he is getting enough from that. Just make sure to start off with the one he refused for the next feeding.
BTW...my 10 mins was way off...funny how quickly you forget that they do take quite some time to feed it the beginning....
