Re: Moms that have Wii - please recc games for a four year old and games for an 11 year old (both boys)...

My 4-year old loves, and actually mastered the Wii Sports that come with the game!! He loves bowling, golf and baseball.

We also have a snowboarding game that might be a little better for the older one.

We get them in Costco or I look on Amazon and scoop the older ones up that are only $15-$20. The new games can cost $50-60 Chat Icon

Re: Moms that have Wii - please recc games for a four year old and games for an 11 year old (both boys)...

DS is 5, and he loves the Sports and MarioKart. He also plays with Cooking Mama once in a while. He likes that for a little while, then gets bored. He also likes Carnival Games. A bunch of short games like coin toss, ring toss, etc.

For an 11 yo, you may want to look into Boom Blox. There is skill, dexterity and planning involved in it. You have to either throw things at blocks to blow them up or knock them down, pull blocks like Jenga, build with blocks, etc. I'm part-way through all the boards, and I'm still having fun with it. Plus, after you complete all the boards you can create your own boards, or edit the existing ones.

The games are pretty much everywhere. Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Circuit City, GameStop, Amazon.com, etc.

My nephews (5 and 8) love the Mario games. They also like anything to do with Nickelodeon shows. I usually get them games at Toys R Us.

Both my sons LOVE Mario Galaxy and really dig playing Wii Fit.

My post doesn't need editing, then... Chat Icon I think Boom Blox is a great game, and there's no violence involved. It's much more of a cerebral game, which I think is much better than wandering around a dungeon shooting things.
